Yes. Please print each and every form, and bring paper, hard copies to your interview. The forms you submit online are for investigator reference only. The paper, hard copies that you bring to your interview will become your background file.

You have two options:

1. Submit an email with the updated information to your investigator and backgrounds@cookepi.com
2. Complete a new form, starting from the beginning. If you choose this option, please send an email to your investigator and backgrounds@cookepi.com to notify of the date and time that you submitted an updated response.

It is your responsibility to call your references to collect current telephone numbers and email addresses. You may need to reach out on social media sites such as Facebook or LinkedIn. Incomplete reference information will be reported to the hiring agency, and may delay your ability to continue with the process.

We are required by law to contact your neighbors. They do not need to know you personally. Neighbors provide valuable information about the type of neighbor you are, how you maintain your property, and activity at your residence. Please knock on doors, introduce yourself, and explain that you have applied for a job that requires a background investigation. Tell your neighbors that an investigator will reach out by phone or email for a brief conversation. If a neighbor is reluctant to provide contact information, note the address, and put that on your reference list. If a neighbor doesn’t answer, leave a note with your contact information. Again, incomplete reference information will be reported to the hiring agency.

It is okay to estimate, as long as you make it clear that you are estimating. You will have an opportunity to discuss details with your investigator during the interview.
