Private Investigator and Excecutive Protection CA Staff

Our Professional Staff | Executive Protection CA There are two divisions of Cooke and Associates, Inc. Mr. Glen Cooke, our President/CEO, has vast experience in each discipline of service we provide and oversees both divisions.

Glen Cooke (President/CEO)

Glen Cooke is a former California Police Officer of 18 yrs. During that time, Glen worked a wide variety of duties that included assignments with county and federal level narcotics task forces and the department’s Dignitary Protection Unit. While assigned to Task Force Narcotics, he conducted numerous investigations and thousands of hours of field surveillance. While serving as a member of Dignitary Protection Unit, he was involved in numerous protection details for foreign and national political figures, as well as highly placed executives, captains of industry and at risk groups.

After an early departure from law enforcement due to injuries, he took the expertise and training he received and adapted it to the private sector as a private investigator when he founded Cooke and Associates in 2001. Glen has worked and managed many high profile surveillance cases that include corporate due diligence, cargo theft and espionage. He has also managed over a thousand worker’s compensation cases.

Additionally Glen has worked, strategized and managed many protection details. Glen brings his experience and training to every issue. Because of this, his expertise is often sought out by competitive agencies to assist with case strategy, management and staffing. His experience provides clients an enhanced ability to strategize their case, develop an action plan and where necessary be a liaison with law enforcement on their behalf.

Protective Division | Executive Protection

Our protection staff consists of experienced law enforcement officials and trained civilian Executive Protection specialists. On average our law enforcement employees have ten years experience in a wide variety of assignments, ranks and dignitary protection. Our civilian Executive Protection specialists are highly trained at some of the best executive protection training facilities in the country and have many years of experience protecting highly placed executives and foreign dignitaries. In all circumstances, our clients can rest assured that we provide high quality security services.

Mark Ligouri (Security Coordinator)

Mark brings 20 yrs. of law enforcement experience with the San Jose Police Department to our team. Mark has worked a variety of departmental assignments including field operations, airport division, burglary and Fraud Investigations Unit and served as a training officer. Mark has assisted with numerous dignitary executive protection details while with the department, including visiting US Presidents and foreign heads of state. Along with this, Mark brings fifteen years of management experience from his work at Ligouri Associates, a former leader in Northern California security. While with Ligouri Associates, Mark led teams and helped manage details such as the 50th and 60th United Nations Anniversary Celebrations, bringing with them numerous visiting dignitaries. When Ligouri Associates was bought out by a larger Southern California security firm, we quickly brought Mark on board to capitalize on his considerable experience. Mark serves to assist with detail planning, scheduling and staffing.

Surveillance and Investigative Division

Our surveillance staff is made up surveillance professionals who have been specifically trained in the field of surveillance. Each has years of experience and hundreds of successful surveillance cases behind them where objectives were met, exceeded and evidence was collected and presented to our client. Our surveillance agents are well trained and keep sharp by almost exclusively working full time doing surveillance. In rare circumstances they are called upon to use other identified skills to assist in an investigation such as undercover work or approaching a reluctant witness in a low key manner.

Delia Salazar (Case Manager)

Delia brings 18 years of medical office experience to Cooke and Associates. She worked as an assistant and office manager in a primarily Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation practice. Her skills in this area will provide a different perspective in regard to these particular types of investigations. Delia also provides Spanish translation and has assisted investigators and clients in subject interviews and witness statements. Delia is the case manager for Cooke and Associates and brings her management skills to provide case status, perform pre-surveillance research, skip tracing and pre-employment background searches.
